Workstress

Work stress can often be a silent, and sometimes not so silent “killer”. If not addressed, it can destroy one’s health, relationships, and self-esteem. A person can feel trapped in an unhealthy work environment, losing perspective of choices and options they many have.

Symptoms of Work Stress include:

  • Frustration/Irritability/Anger
  • Feelings of helplessness, powerlessness, and alienation from work peers
  • Loss of interest/desire in family or interpersonal relationships
  • Inability to get out of bed in the morning
  • Declining health
  • Declining self-esteem
  • Inability to concentrate
  • Inability to meet the demands of work and family

In addition to the above symptoms, a work environment, or relationship with a boss can repeat unhealthy relationship patterns in one’s life. If identified, it can present an opportunity for a person to make positive changes and achieve a more healthy and fulfilling life.
